Our Story
Voodoo was founded in 2001 with a simple observation: most businesses don’t have a strategy problem. They have an execution problem.
In 2001, everyone understood why they needed a website. They just couldn’t make it happen. Today, everyone understands that AI is changing search, that D2C is an opportunity, that digital transformation matters. Same problem: now what?
Before Voodoo, our CEO Peter Nicholls was at Hamleys, where he helped develop and launch Bear Factory: a make-your-own teddy bear concept that grew from four test stores to 25 across the UK, then the Middle East and China. He was 26.
At Heal’s, Peter inherited a website losing £150k a year. He decided to sell furniture online. 18 months later, it was making £1.5m profit.
Peter spent years as a turnaround specialist, running distressed businesses for a VC firm: diagnose what’s broken, stabilise the operation, protect the team, hand back the keys. That pattern became the company.
What we believe
We are not another supplier to manage.
We come in, fill the gaps, and run the agency partnerships if that’s what’s needed
We don't hand over a strategy and leave like a consultancy. We're in the work, filling the gaps, until your team is ready to run it themselves.
The goal of every engagement is to make ourselves unnecessary. That's not a risk to our business, it's why clients come back.
If D2C isn't right for your business, we'll say so. Honest assessment first, always.
25 years in business. Proper due diligence. Enterprise-ready. We pass due diligence and then get on with the work.
